As it was not having rocky land and due to a water shortage, it wasn't attractive for industrialists. One textile factory "sona textile"is running at "BEDSERA" which is running by Behediya family. Other Industries moved away from it to Bhilwara, as it had rocky land structure and rivers around.Later on Bhilwara developed and became a district of Rajasthan State. But Shahpura still has its cultural and heritage identity.
