Ram Charan Maharaj

Shri Ram Charan Maharaj (Hindi: श्री रामचरन महाराज)( February 24, 1720 - 1799 A.D.) or ( Māgh Shukla 14, 1776 - Vaisakha Krishn 5,1855 Bikram Samwat ) is a founder of unique religious tradition in India called Ram Snehi Sampradaya. He initiated,illustrated and preferred the Nirguna (transcendent) Bhakti over Saguna (Absolute) Bhakti. He initiated and tried to eliminate "Show", Blind Faith, hypocrisy and misled existing in the Hindu Religion and Preferred to worship Name of GOD over GOD, to not get involved in false "Show" activities.

Birth and Childhood of Ram Charan Maharaj

Swami Ram Charan Maharaj born in Sodha on February 24, 1720 A.D.(Māgh Shukla 14, 1776 Bikram Samwat). His father's name was BakhatRam Vijayvergia and her mother's name was Deoji. His parents was living in Banwara village near Malpura, Rajasthan. His Childhood name was "Ram Kishan".
He started having interest to know GOD and Religious things in his childhood. He has got a good knowledge of different language as Hindi, Urdu, Pharsi and Sanskrit during his studies. He studied all main Hindu scripture like Ramayana, Mahabharat and Bhagavad Gita with the help of others.

Working as a Divan of Jaipur

Parents of Ram Charn Maharj has identified his intention towards GOD in his early age but they wanted him to get married and live a normal life. His parents forces him to get married. He got married to Gulab Kanwar . He became Patwari after marriage and worked with intelligence. After some time contemporary King of Jaipur(Amber, India) Jai Singh II of Amber got to know about the good work of Ram Charan and offered him to be Divan of Jaipur of Malpura Branch

Vairagya and Leaving Home Forever

Ram Charan Maharaj started to lose interest in Materialism after his father's death in 1743 A.D. and got to know about the forecast of Bhringi Saint about his destiny. He also saw a dream on same night, in which he saw that one Saint saved him from drowning in a river. Next day, he got permission from his family indirectly to leave Home forever and started his journey towards the way to know GOD and finding a perfect spiritual Guru in 1808 Bikram Samwat.

Finding Spiritual Guru Near Shahpura And Afterward

He started his journey towards South by keep asking the people about the Saint he saw in dream by explaining what he would be look like.At lat he found one saint "Shri Kripa Ram" in Datra village near Shahpura, Bhilwara. He became disciple of Kripa Ram Maharaj and started follow him. He did 9 years of Tapasya by living in the command of Shri Kripa Ram.

During those 9 years, Ram Charan Maharaj has done many miracles which are still commonly known among the local people. He also became very popular for his unique Nirguna Bhakti. He used to visit many places and used to explain his experience and advised people to eliminate "Show", Blind Faith, hypocrisy and misled existing in the Hindu Religion.

Formation or RamSnehi Spiritual Tradition

He came to Bhilwara in 1817 (Bikram Samwat)and selected one lonely place for Tapasya. By this time, he has reached to the extreme level of Tapasya and reaching on the way to Nirvana.

In same year (1817 Bikram Samwat), disciple of Ram Charan Maharaj formed "RamSnehi Sampradaya" ( RamSnehi Spiritual Tradition).
